Information about the GPS GSM collar technology
GPS GSM collars are quite smart devices for tracking animals. Compared with the regular GPS collars, the big advantage is that the wildlife
biologist is able to control the collar directly from his office.
With the GSM communication, it is possible to download from as well as to upload data to the collar via the air, just by sending a command.
Mostly the data are sent via an SMS, as you do with cell phones.
