Information about GPS collars
A GPS collar is a belt with one or two boxes additional, where the electronic hardware and the batteries are housing. The software makes the
collar to a smart unit.
The GPS engine takes its position (= the position of the animal) according to a GPS schedule. If you are interested how GPS is working, you will

A data set is composed of the fix positions in latidtude and longitude and elevation (X, Y and z coordinates in WGS 84 format) along with date,
time and further information.
This information varies from company to company, but mostly it is a value of the batteriepower,
information how many satellites were used to estimate the position.
If the collar is fitted out with sensors, additional respective values like temperature, activity etc. will be stored.
